The Cedar Creek Yacht Club’s 8th annual fun sail Round the Lake Regatta is just around the corner. Dust off your boat, call your friends, round up your family and prepare for the fun. Also, if you have a neighbor who has a boat that appears to have trouble getting out of its lift or away from its dock give them a shout and invite them to come sail along.

The Regatta will be Saturday June 11th.  Sign up from 8:30 to 9:30 at Don’s Port Marina. There is a $25.00 per boat fee that includes a T-shirt, gifts, and trophies for the first 3 boats finishing in each class. Breakfast is served around 8:30, and the skippers’ briefing will be at 9:30. The sail starts at approx 10:30, and will be a staggered start with cruising boats and “C” class boats starting first, then “B” class, then “A”. There is a Cajun Shrimp Boil social with awards and music for all Regatta sailors and CCYC members and their guests Saturday night after the Regatta.

Our Regatta is open to all comers and all level sailors. We would like for all members with boats to participate and if you need crew or help, or are looking for a boat to jump aboard respond and Mark Stanley will work to match boats with crew.
